This is not your ordinary surburban cafe by any means. Situated on a busy five way intersection of the Pacific Highway at Crows Nest, Sydney, the New Orleans Cafe could teach a lot of hospitality operators a thing or two about table turning. It seats a modest 100 people but does a roaring trade of about 500 covers on a normal day and around 1000 on a good day! The cafe was created in 1995 by Danny Cross, who was a native of New Orleans until he moved here. His aim was to create a relaxed food and beverage environment that featured the cuisine, music and the atmosphere of his home town. He succeeded only too well. The locals love it on any day they vote with their wallets and purses in enviable numbers. On a nice day both the inside dining area and the alfresco dining area are packed with happy customers grooving away to the live jazz that the cafe is renown for. Due to the rampant growth of the business Danny made the decision to take on two partners Jeff Toering and Paul Menzagopian. Together they are continuing to run the business. Watch them in the future this is a business that will develop a lot further. Summary of services to New Orleans Cafe: operational
